West Jakarta Promotes Tourism in Majapahit Travel Fair

(MTF), which held to promote tourism, on upcoming May 7-11 in Surabaya, East Java.S ome museums of ancient relic history are also enthused by tourists
According to Head Attraction and Woman Empowerment Section for West Jakarta Tourism Sub-Department, Ratna, West Jakarta has many tourism objects which not less interesting than any other objects in Jakarta. Those objects include natural tourism, shopping tourism, pilgrimage tourism, and culinary tourism. “All of these four objects will be promoted in the Majapahit Travel Fair,” she stated, Friday (4/25).
Right now, Ratna continued, there are several tourism destinations that become domestic as well as international tourists’ favorites in West Jakarta, such as Kota Tua, Srengseng City Forest, Wisata Bunga, and Hickey Fish Center at Cengkareng. “Not that only, some museums of ancient relic history are also enthused by tourists,” she told.

JakartaBesides joining the Majapahit Travel Fair, West Jakarta Administration will also hold exhibition together with some organizations of Indonesia City Administration Association (Apeksi) and Indonesian Heritage Cities Network (JKPI) in Kalimantan.
Based on BPS data, added Ratna, West Jakarta original income (PAD) from tourism sector increases compared last year. The biggest contributors are hotel and restaurant taxes. “PAD from tourism sector increases, especially for hotel and restaurant taxes,” she said.
